MINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Economics,
Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. MBA
preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 15 years in the oil
industry with broad knowledge of the following
areas:
The dynamics and contractual practices of the
international crude, product and oil freight
markets.
Refining, petrochemical and product trading
economics.
Strategic, business and operational planning,
project appraisal and performance analysis
relating to the refining, supply and
distribution, and marketing of petroleum
products to end-use consumers.
Domestic product distribution and marketing to
wholesale accounts and retail outlets.
Familiarity with petroleum market area,
competition and future prospects.
Basic olefins and aromatics markets and their
downstream derivative markets.
Candidate should have the following
attributes:
Resourceful, questioning, high analytical and
numerical skills, literate in personal
computer use.
Able to operate in a multi-cultural,
large-company environment in a foreign
location.
Able to integrate production, supply and
marketing issues into commercial analysis in
order to identify and balance all relevant
risks and rewards, i.e., overall business
acumen. |
