MINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: BS Petroleum Engineering. Current
certificate in BOP and Well Control.
Experience: 12 years. Candidate should have
excellent management skills and technical
knowledge in drilling operations. He should be
aware of latest technologies used in oil
drilling and work over operations. Must have
strong petroleum engineering background and
have supervised more than 3 to 4 rigs at a
time. Solid background in supervising high
temperature/high pressure wells with high H2S
concentration. Experience in supervising
offshore jack up rigs will be an added
advantage.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs managerial duties at the division
level including preparation of division
budgets and quarterly accountability
statements. Resolves difficult and unusual
problems which could otherwise delay drilling
progress, makes decisions under emergency
operation conditions to solve problems and
protect crew, rig and well. Holds meeting to
coordinate activities and makes frequent
inspections to assure operations conforms to
plans and are being carried out safely,
efficiently and economically. Receives
technical advice from and cooperates and
co-ordinates with drilling engineering,
reviews and approves well programs. Directs
preparation of and reviews/approves forecasts
for manpower, materials and supplies required
to operate assigned rigs, order tools,
supplies and supporting service and initiates
action to assure stocks are maintained at
minimum adequate levels. Valuate efficiency of
operations, plans and implements improvements,
reviews drilling program and assumes direct
responsibility for carrying out individual
well programs, Is responsible for
implementation of Department's extensive
safety program to assure all possible is being
done to avoid a well blowout which could
result in catastrophic loss of equipment and
personnel. Has contact with drilling
contractor to assure terms of contract are met
and to safeguard interests as to cost
and safety. |
