MINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: BS in Mechanical or Chemical
Engineering.
Experience: 10 years' experience in a
refinery, chemical plant, or other process
related facility working with operations and
maintenance personnel on a daily basis; ASME,
ANSI B31.1, ANSI B31.3, TEMA, and API code
familiarity and experience determining
operational problems with centrifugal
compressors, pumps, steam turbines and
combustion gas turbines. Will have prior
experience with high-pressure steam plant and
related facilities; pipe stress analysis,
nozzle design and fluid flow calculations.
Will be PC literate and have successfully
mentored young engineers.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide routine support of refinery
mechanical systems and field equipment, while
supporting the long-term improvement of
mechanical facilities.
2. Respond the day-to-day operational
engineering needs of the assigned plant area
and serve as primary Engineering Department
contact for the operating area.
3. Produce basic design packages for
modification of, and support the commissioning
of, new as well as existing plant and
mechanical systems.
4. Work with other departments for operating
problem resolutions in the assigned area and
transfer engineering skills and technology
